Been Smokin' Too Long
This is a cool blues finger picking style. I hope I've got the timing about right,
but the only way you'll really pick it up is by listening to the record.
I've only tabbed out the intro because it's the only bit I can play accurately,
but I've included the chords for the verses, and you just play them in the same sort of style.
There are only really three different chords: Am, F, E, and some twiddly bits on top of those.
Standard Tuning, Capo 2nd fret.

Am Am Am
Well I wake up in the morning
E Am
Look at my clock
Am Am
It's way past noon time
E
Now I'm late for work
[Chorus:-]

What have I done wrong?
Am
Ain't nothin' go right with me
F E Am Am Am
Must be I've been smokin' too long.
[little solo on E,
E7 (bend up)]
Well I go to find me some breakfast
But I ain't got no food
Take me a shower
But the water don't feel no good
[Chorus]
I've got opium in my chimney
No other life to choose
Nightmare made of hash dreams
Got the devil in my shoes
[Chorus]
Well when I'm smokin'
Put my worries on a shelf
Don't think about nothin'
Try not to see myself
[Chorus]
Well in this blues I'm singin'
There's a lesson to be learnt
Don't go around smokin'
Unless you want to get burnt
Tell me tell me
What have I done wrong?
Ain't nothin' go right with me
Must be I've been smokin' too
Ain't nothin' go right with me
Must be I've been smokin' too
Ain't nothin' go right with me
Must be I've been smokin' too long.
