Actually, you don't technically NEED a 7-string, as the high E string isn't used in this song, so for all intents and purposes, you might as well play this on a 6-string tuned BEADGB (which is what Brad did himself on this song starting in 2003). It was recorded on a 7-string and played on one in the early days, however, so I have tabbed it as such. Not really a whole lot of tricky stuff here, 2 distorted riffs and some clean harmonics, but for some reason there are a ton of crappy tabs for this song going around...even the simple 4-chord progression in the chorus is wrong in most tabs I've seen. Watch out at the end of the verses heading into the chorus, the 7th fret harmonic on the G string is only played on the first repeat in each verse. Also, the 4th fret note on the 2nd chord in the chorus isn't very audible, but I've seen numerous videos and still photos of Brad playing that chord with his pinky on the 4th fret of the D string live, so I would assume he did the same on the studio recording.
