After finding the time and the capo I finally got to work on this song. It looks like there's 3 guitars in this song: Guitar 1 - a clean electric with a capo on the 5th fret Guitar 2 - a distorted electric with dropped-D tuning (DADGBE ) Guitar 3 - just your average distorted guitar It's possible to play the solo with the dropped D (just raise fretnumbers on low E-string by 2) and the verse-chords with a finger-barre, but I can't advise that.. Here goes.. Notation XhY - hammer on XpY - pull off XbY - bend at fret X to pitch of fret Y XrY - release bent note at pitch of fret X to pitch of fret Y X~~ - vibrato (X) - ghost note X/Y X\Y - slides from X up/down to Y (...) - hold previous note Intro: /VERSE - Guitar 1, positions relative to capo on 5th fret PRE-CHORUS - Guitar 2, chord notes implied by vocals & bass Why you act crazy Not an act maybe etc. Count 1 & 2 3 4 1 & 2 3 4 CHORUS/OUTRO - Guitar 2 I stay away SOLO - Guitar 3, enters with short ascending run on the end of chorus _____________P.H.____________ ______P.H.______ Date: Sat, 4 Nov 95 10:04:24 MST Subject: i stay away by Aics this is i stay away THE RIGHT WAY by alice in chains.
